What is CrossFit®?
CrossFit may be many things, but it begins with a belief in fitness. Defined as “constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity”, CrossFit aims to build strength and conditioning through extremely varied and challenging workouts.
CrossFit is great at developing a broad base of fitness. Rather than working muscles in isolation, CrossFit exercises involve the entire body, building a body that is capable of anything and everything. By combining elements of Olympic weightlifting, body weight exercises, cardio, gymnastics, power lifting, core conditioning and more, CrossFit improves overall fitness.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

New to CrossFit? We have an ongoing Fundamentals Program that begins the first Tuesday of each month.
From our experience, it requires a great deal of attention and coaching to become comfortable with the CrossFit movements and philosophies. It is difficult for our trainers and dangerous for our students to coach fast-paced group workouts while providing the attention needed for new CrossFitters.
In order to properly teach the basic movements used in CrossFit and ensure the safety of all of our students both new and experienced, we offer our Fundamentals Program for beginners.
Our Fundamentals Program consists of four practical training sessions. Athletes will learn CrossFit’s 9 Basic Fundamental Movements while gaining knowledge of HTF’s philosophy and workout regimen. We emphasize client safety as well as how important our HTF community and family is to us.
HTF’s CrossFit Fundamentals Program:
Four 60-minute sessions over a 2-week period starting the first Tuesday of the Month. There will only be one program per month.
Hour-long classes are held on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
Each session will include CrossFit Fundamental instruction & a mini-WOD (Workout of the Day)
The program is capped at 20 people per class to ensure maximum safety and learning
